Laguna Lake and Puerto Galera sensor maintenance

Last November, within the Bolinao Pangasinan survey period, regular maintenance of the sensors deployed in Laguna Lake and Puerto Galera was carried-out. Meteorological, hydrodynamic and water-quality sensors at the IMSWES monitoring platform were retrieved, data downloaded, battery-changed and redeployed for another set of long-term monitoring. Deployed water sensors at the platform are regularly checked and cleaned by a nearby fishpen caretaker. The weather station in Puerto Galera was maintained as well.

Water quality measurements around Laguna Lake using a multi-quality meter (AAQ) was also conducted within the duration of the Bolinao field survey to describe water quality variations along the vertical water column at various points around the lake. Data collected will be valuable for calibrating and validating current numerical simulations on the lake.
