Professor Nadaoka was featured in the NHK BS1 TV Program 'Catch! Sekai no Top News'. He was interviewed and explained how Australian coral reefs are now facing the threat of extinction due to recent ocean warming conditions. The program segment was aired from 7:00 to 7:50 am.

Masaki Ikenaga with research title "Elucidation of factors that regulate seagrass distribution around the Fukido River mouth area in Ishigaki Island, Japan"

We conducted a field survey in Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture. Activities included the regular maintenance of oceanographic sensors in Shiraho reef and terrestrial sensors in various watersheds around the island. Seagrass samples were also collected in Shiraho reef, as well as environmental parameter data relating to seagrass growth rate and living conditions.

We conducted a field survey in Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture. Activities included the deployment of oceanographic sensors, sewage and groundwater surveying, the deployment and maintenance of terrestrial sensors, and various activities in our mangrove and seagrass study sites.
